In that time I have employed a variety of techniques for creating time chainage charts. Before personal computers it was with pen and paper, then it was with spreadsheets or CAD. All of these methods work perfectly well except that they are slow and do not lend themselves to the changes that all schedules undergo. In the 1990s I looked to see what dedicated time chainage software was available on the market. Version 1 was released in 2000 and was tested with great success on the London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 project. Since then TimeChainage has undergone considerable development and has been used on a variety of projects around the globe, both large and small.
